La Loba’s began baking in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida in 1994, offering organic, whole grain breads, cinnamon rolls and granola. All of our initial business came from word of mouth, and we soon discovered we had tapped into a local market for fresh baked goods made with quality, organic ingredients. We quickly expanded our product line to include cookies, carrot cakes, brownies and special seasonal items.
We had a lot of fun back in those early days, trying out recipes on our customers, refining our business model and searching out suppliers. For a while, we even ran an informal organic food cooperative out of the bakery, an enterprise that grew out of our need for regular shipments of supplies to an area under-served by the organic and whole foods industry.
Now, fifteen years, several moves and several incarnations of our business later, we have just moved into our newest facility in Blue Mountain Beach, located next to Big Daddy’s Bike Shop and For the Health of It Natural Foods Market. We are open Monday-Saturday 9:00AM til 5:00 PM. We are still producing the best tasting baked goods you can imagine, but focusing much of our attention on our Maple Nut Granola, the mainstay of our business from the beginning.
